Developer Portfolio Website: Next.js 16 and React 19

Overview

My personal developer website: case studies, freelance services, a demo gallery, an about page, a printable résumé page and a project enquiry form. I designed and built it myself.

The goal

Give potential clients and recruiters one clear place to see what I build, what I offer and how to contact me, while only showing claims I can back up.

What I built

Case-study pages that separate my own contribution from the wider product, with real, dated screenshots
A services page, a demo gallery with honest status labels (live demo, planned, in development) and an about/résumé page that prints cleanly to a two-page A4 PDF
A project enquiry form with server-side validation and rate limiting
A dark, violet-tinted design with light and dark themes, and a liquid-glass navigation bar on desktop with a CSS fallback everywhere else
Motion that switches off for visitors who prefer reduced motion
SEO basics: sitemap, social share image and structured data

Quality checks

Strict TypeScript, ESLint and an automated test suite (Vitest + Testing Library)
A content rule enforced by tests: unverified claims, placeholders and private repository links can't appear on the public site
Scripts that check for leaked secrets in the client bundle and crawl the site for broken links and missing metadata

Tech stack

Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn / Base UI, next-themes, Vitest, Vercel

Designed and built my own portfolio: case studies, services, demo gallery and enquiry form, with tests that block unverified claims.
