Caio Bella! Let's keep the drinks flowing with Bella, the boozy kombi!

Bella Brews Co is an Italian mobile bar service, spearheaded by two loveable Aussies, Alex and Maddy, who now reside in Italy. They have retrofitted a blue Volkswagen Kombi van from the 1960s with spouts and refillable kegs, transforming it into a mobile bar, perfect for weddings and events across Italy!

When Alex and Maddy first approached me to build their website, I was over the moon with how bold and fun their brand was, and could not wait to get started! We had a two hour long discovery session where we went over their needs, ideas, and turn around time. Their brand embodied good times, and quick service, so their website should too! In just one day, I designed a bold and eye catching site that incorporated a Kombi hero highlight, curvy page sections, and a custom quote builder that makes it incredibly simple for clients to keep within budget!

In order to quote clients, Bella Brews Co was sending clients a PDF with a manual calculation system where the client would look at how many drinks they wanted + event duration + distance from Bellas home, and then calculate their own quote. They wanted something easier, something beautiful... something everyone could understand. Taking the variables of this calculation, I was able to build a fully functional (and customisable) custom quote builder, that listed the available kegs, service hours (including an extra hours card), and venue address/km which the client could play with to understand their estimated costs, and submit an enquiry!

Alex and Maddy are able to change prices, offerings and service hours within Webflow, without any prior technical knowledge, equipping them with the tools to update their site on their own!

The Bella Brews Co website allowed me to take my learnings in GSAP (Green Sock Animation Platform) and apply them to a real use case. Not only are the curves, dropdowns, site reveal and navigation bar animated in GSAP, but we built an image stack carousel thats touch enabled and coded completely from the ground up in only an hour! GSAP is so powerful, it allows for the creation of stunning animations and interactive components in only a few lines of code, meaning their website was built fast and efficient, getting them online in no time!

Alex and Maddy had very little time to get this site up and running. With a bunch of client enquires already in the inbox, and their main jobs starting again mid January, they knew that manually quoting and communicating with clients was going to be a huge time sucker! We designed the website in 1 day, developed it in 3, ironed out the kinks in 2 and deployed it on the 7th day! Now, they receive enquiries with quotes already built and attached to their form submissions, meaning less time spent corresponding with the client, and more time available to secure the client!

Just like my other projects, I could talk for pages and pages about how much I loved building this site, it fills me with joy being able to do what I love and create designs that are loved! 🥰
