AuditionAid - AI Career Platform for Actors (Web & Mobile)

The client previously hired a development company to build AuditionAid but the experience fell short. Deadlines were missed, deliverables did not match what was promised, and the project stalled with significant bugs. I was brought in to take over, fix what was broken, and build the platform into something production-ready.

AuditionAid is a full-stack AI-powered career management platform for entertainment industry professionals. Actors and performers use it to manage auditions, expenses, calendars, and job discovery from a single app across web, Android, and iOS.

ANDI (AI Assistant): Users chat in natural language to log auditions, scan casting notices and receipts using AI vision, get travel time estimates, and receive career guidance. Supports multiple personalities and neural voice responses.

RoleRadar: Scrapes major casting sites daily (Backstage, Actors Access, Casting Networks, Playbill, BroadwayWorld), matches listings to user profiles using AI, and sends personalized daily digest emails with match reasoning.

Smart Calendar: Built-in audition calendar with bi-directional sync across Google, Microsoft, and Apple. Location-aware reminders with real-time traffic calculations. Full timezone support across all providers.

Expense Management: AI-powered receipt scanning, industry-specific categories, per-audition ROI tracking, and tax-ready exports.

Analytics: Callback rates, booking ratios, genre and location performance breakdowns, and exportable reports.

Community: Discussion forum, reader matching board, in-app messaging, and public reader profiles.

Additional: Cross-device push notifications, subscription billing with App Store and Play Store verification, educational content library, public marketing site, admin dashboard, and referral program.

React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Node.js 22, Firebase Cloud Functions v2, Firestore, OpenAI GPT-4o, ElevenLabs, Google Maps, Microsoft Graph, Apple CalDAV, Apify, Brevo, Vercel, Firebase Auth with multi-provider OAuth.

Took over a stalled project, fixed existing issues, and built it into a production-scale platform with 15+ API integrations, 6 independent microservices, and an architecture designed to support thousands of users at public launch. Currently in closed beta.
