Puzzle Game

Kay Amsterdam

I was recently asked by a client to develop a puzzle game where the player had to solve a series of environmental puzzles to escape a room. The puzzles could involve moving objects around, finding hidden objects, or using special abilities. The game could be set in a variety of different environments, such as a haunted house, a spaceship, or a lost temple.
I started by brainstorming a list of possible puzzles that the player could encounter. I wanted to make sure that the puzzles were challenging but fair, and that they would require the player to use their problem-solving skills. Some of the puzzles that I came up with included:
Moving objects around to create a path to the exit.
Finding hidden objects that provide clues to solving the puzzles.
Using special abilities, such as telekinesis or teleportation, to solve the puzzles.
Once I had a list of puzzles, I decided on a setting for the game. I wanted the setting to be something that would be both visually interesting and challenging for the player to escape from. I settled on a haunted house, as I thought that the combination of spooky atmosphere and environmental puzzles would make for a fun and challenging game.
I then started to put together the game's levels. I wanted each level to be a unique challenge, and I wanted the puzzles to build on each other in a logical way. I also wanted to make sure that the game was visually appealing, so I spent a lot of time designing the levels and the objects in the game.
After I had finished the levels, I added a scoring system and a timer to the game. This would give the player a sense of urgency and make the game more challenging. I also added a hint system, so that players who got stuck could get a little help.
Finally, I tested the game with a group of friends and family. I got their feedback on the puzzles, the levels, and the overall difficulty of the game. I made some changes based on their feedback, and then I was ready to release the game.
The game was a success, and players enjoyed the challenging puzzles and the spooky atmosphere. I was happy that I was able to create a game that was both fun and challenging, and I'm glad that players enjoyed it.
The client was very happy with the game, and they were impressed with the quality of the puzzles and the overall design of the game. They said that they would definitely use me again in the future.
I am proud of the work that I did on this project, and I am glad that I was able to create a game that people enjoyed. I am looking forward to working on more puzzle games in the future.
