During my internship at New Designers, I was tasked with revamping the website for Radijs Ontwerp. The primary objective was to integrate a CMS and e-commerce functionality into the existing portfolio site.

The client sought to add an e-commerce component to their portfolio website. My responsibilities included:

Selecting a suitable CMS that supports e-commerce.

Designing and developing the new website structure.

Implementing the chosen CMS and integrating payment solutions.

Before initiating the design process, I conducted thorough research on various SaaS and CMS platforms, evaluating them based on:

After careful consideration, I selected Framer for its design freedom and Stripe for seamless payment integration. This choice allowed for a customizable CMS and the ability to embed Stripe for e-commerce functionalities.

I translated the new requirements into a sitemap and wireframes to establish a clear structure and organized information flow. The client reviewed and approved the wireframes, allowing me to proceed directly to development without the need for extensive prototyping.

Starting with the desktop homepage, I familiarized myself with Framer's component-based development approach. Once the core structure was in place, I:

Built the CMS to manage dynamic content.

Transformed provided web texts and CMS information into dynamic pages.

Developed additional pages and ensured responsiveness across devices.

Added micro-interactions to enhance the user experience.

A notable challenge was the inability to host forms locally in Framer, which I resolved by integrating Formspark.io for form handling.

After incorporating feedback from the client, we connected the new website to the existing domain and set up a Stripe account to activate the payment integration. The client expressed high satisfaction with the final product.
