The Project
Com-munis is a project dedicated to visual communication. It deals with the evolution and resolution of basic human needs using the alphabet of signs.
It's a collection of 3D lettering and artwork that harkens back to the avant-garde and modernism with content thought for paper, web digital, and augmented reality.
It’s been exhibited for the Poster Design category and is one of the winners of the seventh edition of the Neologia 2022 festival, an initiative of Graphic Days®, a national icon in Italy for the communication world.
The visual content has been crafted by Fabio Pinna, while I co-worked to name the project and have written the descriptions to be exhibited.
A modern design, describing an ancient need.
The sign language is an example of ingenuity and an evolution in solving a primary human need: to communicate.
Even those who are unable to communicate do so continuously, every day, and Com-munis describes this exact process (in Latin, Com is mutual and Munus means a gift to be exchanged).
