I joined the Pocket Kado project by Mindlab at a particularly challenging stage for an animator and character designer.
The characters were already fully developed, animated, and integrated into a live application with an established visual language.
My role was to to replace the existing animations with new ones, ensuring they aligned with the logic and interactions of the app.
The focus of my work was to create animations that felt natural within the product, while also adding fresh energy, variety, and stronger personality to each character. Every motion was carefully crafted to reinforce the distinct character traits and emotional appeal of the cast.
Another important aspect of my work was optimizing the application’s performance by delivering high-quality animations with the smallest possible file sizes.
This balance between visual richness and performance optimization helped keep the app running smoothly without compromising the personality and charm of the characters.
My portfolio showcases only the animations I personally created, although the application contains a broader set of animations developed as part of the overall product.
My goal throughout the project was to enhance the character experience and contribute to making the application more engaging, expressive, and enjoyable for its users.
