The idea behind this poster was born out of a summer project where I challenged myself to create a series of unique posters. The word "Chill" came to mind as the perfect expression of the easy-going, carefree vibes I wanted to capture. I envisioned it floating like a balloon or something fluffy, embodying the true essence of relaxation. This poster was more than just an artwork—it was a way to channel those lazy, hazy summer days into something visual and tangible.

The word "Chill" is the heart of this design, but it wasn't perfect on the first try. It took a few adjustments, some fine-tuning, and a lot of little tweaks to get it just right. I wanted the typography to feel light and airy, almost like it was floating on a breeze. After some trial and error, I was able to create a custom typeface that not only conveyed the word's meaning but also brought a touch of fun and uniqueness to the design.

The initial sketches weren't perfect either. However, once I began tracing the design with Adobe Illustrator's pen tool, it all started to come together. The software allowed me to refine my ideas and bring the "Chill" typography to life as a custom typeface. It was a learning process, but it taught me how to turn an idea from sketch to polished design, especially as someone new to graphic design.

This poster holds a special place in my heart because it marks one of my proudest moments as a budding graphic designer. Created in the summer of 2022, it's a reflection of my journey and growth in the world of design. The combination of the playful typography and the relaxed theme perfectly encapsulates the spirit of that time for me. It's a piece that reminds me of where I started and how far I've come since then.
