As I began my journey into graphic design in the summer of 2022, I was deeply inspired by the creativity of many designers. My goal was to create a custom typography piece for a poster, and I started exploring various ideas by drafting content and gathering inspiration from social media. This phase was crucial in shaping my vision and understanding of typography.

With the skills I had learned and practiced, I decided to take a chance and sketch the word "Vans" multiple times. Despite several attempts, the design didn’t come together as I had hoped. I realized I needed to think outside the box and approach the project from a new angle to achieve the impact I was aiming for.

Eventually, I found a breakthrough by incorporating a wavy half-circle movement into the design. This design element added a dynamic flow to the typography, setting it apart from traditional approaches. The integration of this unique movement helped me capture the essence of the brand in a more engaging way.

For the color palette, I chose fiery hues to evoke a sense of energy and movement, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the Vans brand. This decision not only enhanced the visual appeal but also aligned the design with the dynamic nature of skate culture. The result was a bold and striking typography piece that I’m proud to showcase.
