The coal mining industry has affected the health of coal miners in America, especially in the rural Appalachian area. Miners need to protect themselves from the health risks that go unnoticed in the mining industry. Knowing the best precautions that can be implemented in order to help prevent the risks that come with coal mining will further help coal miners. My design is a gaiter garment is designed to protect miners while being both breathable and durable.
