We thought Nigerians needed better access to affordable therapists. What they actually needed was inspiration to talk about mental health at all.
We discovered the real problem wasn't access to therapy, it was cultural perception.
After doing a competitive analysis, we also discovered existing products focused on access to mental health care (so no one was solving the problem we just discovered)
So we designed around what we learned (Blogs and videos to inspire and educate)
Unfortunately, Usability testing showed people weren't reading the educational content.
So we changed the content interaction style from long form articles to "WhatsApp-inspired" short status style content
Second usability test showed people were consuming it.

Research changed our product direction. Usability testing changed it again. I turned both insights into a mental health experience people actually used.
