A while ago I got to work on something pretty amazing. I got the opportunity to bring the ‘happiness chemicals’ to life. For a pitch during my time at DotControl, we wanted to create more awareness around the chemicals that make people feel happy, joyful, blissful, grateful, euphoric, etc.

The pitch was very high-paced so I had less than a week to convert the four body and mind chemicals into remarkable characters with their own thing going on. This way we wanted to introduce the idea that happiness truly starts from within to a broader audience.

The idea that feeling happy is just a chemical process in your body is still strange to most people, even though it’s scientifically proven. Bringing chemical formulas, with often complicated names, to live is a great way to make the science behind happiness fun and digestible.
