Solana Meme Trading Terminal — UX Design for Crypto Tool

Solana Trading Terminal is a tool in blockchain that enables on-chain Sol traders discover and trade the earliest Solana paired tokens launched across multiple platforms such as pump.fun and moonshot.

The goal was to enable users to discover paired tokens in real time, assess the legitimacy of these tokens, and buy them early. They can also copy existing trades with minimal fraction.

I didn't just want build another trading dashboard, I wanted to fix the problem other platforms overlooked which was simplifying the technicality of trade terminals for beginners and also for pros.

To handle the volume and speed of Solana launches, I proposed a three-section layout of paired tokens launched across two major platforms and then structure how these tokens will move from their early stage to DEX:

The Solana Meme Terminal became one of the most used pages on Metadapp after its release, with users spending an average of 1-3 minutes on the platform.

I recorded a 45.8% (over 2,200 users) all time high in the platform usage, with the majority of Metadapp’s 5,000+ users.

Out of these users, over 1,200 users completed live trades within 48 hours of visiting the platform.

I also discovered repeat usage. That is, more than 60% of active traders returned to use the platform again.

Approximately 700 users connected their wallets and held tokens bought directly from the terminal.

Early user feedback highlighted the efficiency and intuitiveness of the 3-panel workflow.

This project taught me the importance of balancing speed and safety in DeFi UX.

While users want to act fast, they also need tools that protect them from scams and poor decisions.

The challenge was to present a lot of data in a digestible, responsive layout without compromising usability.
