Creating new worlds through writing as you spin stars into existence, crafting constellations that would light up the literary night sky. Like the radiant bursts of a supernovae.as readers embark on written journeys, they witness the brilliant expansion of every page both knowledge and emotion, enriching the reader’s personal universe.
As a creative spirit deeply rooted in the literary and artistic worlds, I wear many hats: art historian, researcher, creative writer of fiction and non-fiction, book editor, and content creator. The cornerstone of my eclectic life is the freedom and security that freelancing offers, enabling me to thrive in diverse roles.
My journey through the creative realms has been a long labyrinthine, enriched by a unique blend of formal training and personal experiences. Guided by the soft glow of a candle and the comforting warmth of a cup of tea, I approach each project with a fusion of critical thinking, an open mind and open communication that transcends conventional boundaries. With each endeavor, I strive not only to meet the expected standards but to surpass them, weaving a tapestry of words that resonates deeply and leaves a lasting impact on its audience.
During my undergraduate years at Temple University in Philadelphia, I pursued a degree in English Literature, while also exploring my passion for creative writing and journalism. My academic journey was marked by excellence, driven by a curriculum that emphasized deep inquiry and innovative thinking. I thrived under the rigorous demands of their writing curriculum, delighting in everything from crafting research papers to penning short stories, each project sharpening my ability to think critically and express innovative and creative ideas clearly.
During my time at university, I immersed myself in the vibrant world of literary publishing, taking on pivotal roles such as research assistant, chief editor, peer reviewer and journalist for various academic journals. This experience allowed me to master the nuances of editorial work, from meticulously selecting pieces that resonated with our audience to refining texts through diligent copy editing and precise proofreading. Each position not only honed my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of the literary landscape within the academic community.
In 2019, I embarked on a journey to deepen my literary and academic pursuits at George Mason University, where I was warmly embraced by their Literature and Folklore programs. During this period, I further cultivated my creative writing skills by actively participating in the university’s literary magazine and engaging in advanced coursework. This creative engagement served as a poignant refuge, allowing me to immerse myself in the art of storytelling amidst the unfolding global pandemic.
During this enriching chapter at George Mason University, I embraced the role of teaching assistant. While the opportunity was invaluable, I discovered that my true enchantment lay in connecting with students written works, guiding them to unearth their individual writing talents and discover their unique voices. These interaction with the written word, more personal and magical, was where I found profound fulfillment. While a direct path in academia wasn’t destined for me, assisting others in weaving their own narratives and finding their voices resonated deeply with my calling, making each moment of mentorship a truly gratifying experience.
After graduating with honors, I secured an internship at the National Museum of Asian Art, eager to cultivate my artistic and creative pursuits. This role offered me the chance to work on a comprehensive research project, merging art and research to unveil the powerful narratives conveyed through historical and cultural masterpieces. Surrounded by the exquisite art of Asia, I experienced a continuous surge of inspiration and creativity, which not only sharpened my analytical and critical abilities but also deepened my connection to art. This transformative journey not only refined my skills as a writer and editor but also ignited a personal passion for engaging with art, enriching my understanding of the diverse expressions and forms that art encompasses.
Post-graduation, I embarked on a freelancing odyssey, initially tutoring and editing on platforms like Wyzant. Soon, a desire to broaden my horizons led me to work directly with individuals on book and short story editing, as well as consulting across both creative and business writing domains. I gradually expanding my presence across freelancing platforms such as Fiverr and now Contra, where I direct my clients for a more personalized and fair interaction. This journey not only diversifies my skill set but also deepens my engagement with the myriad narratives that shape our world, allowing me to weave my scholarly acumen and mystical flair into each project.
Continuing to nurture my passion for education and enhance my offerings for both my clients and myself, I am currently engaged in creative writing and literary coursework at Harvard University Extension School. Excitingly, I will beginn my PhD journey in art history at the University of Chicago next year. Alongside my academic pursuits, I am actively crafting my own novels and short stories, weaving my scholarly insights into my creative practice to keep my skills honed and vibrant. This ongoing commitment to both personal and professional growth allows me to bring a richly informed perspective to all my projects.
