A generic, AI-written article needed to be transformed into something that actually sounded like a person wrote it. The original content had all the right information but none of the personality. It read like a textbook pretending to be a blog post.
My Approach
I started by reading the original piece for comprehension, not style. The goal was to understand what the article was trying to say before deciding how to say it better.
From there, I worked through three passes:
Structural editing — I reorganized sections so the piece flowed like a conversation, not a lecture. Moved the most compelling points up front and cut redundant filler.
Voice rewrite — I rewrote every section in a conversational, human-centered tone. Short sentences where they hit harder. Longer ones where the reader needs room to think. No corporate fluff, no filler transitions.
Research verification — I cross-checked every claim in the original to make sure the rewrite didn't sacrifice accuracy for readability.
The Result
The final piece retained 100% of the original article's core information but read like it was written by someone who actually cared about the topic. The structure was tighter, the voice was warmer, and the reader could get through it without glazing over.
This project demonstrates what I do best: take content that exists and make it content that connects.
