With the economy buckling under the strain of COVID-19, we wanted to contribute to businesses learning new skills to keep up with the new normal.
Prometheus’s first big event was for charity and social responsibility. This is how we started Reimagination Conference (ReCon) 2021: a free webinar showcasing the tricks of the trade in digital marketing.
We began campaigning for ReCon 2021 a month prior. Initially, Prometheus envisioned the event to guide students into a career in marketing and the arts. We collaborated with the University of the Philippines Marketing Society Incorporated (MSI) and Katilingban ng mga Aktibong Kabataan Para sa Bayan (KAAKBAY) to get the word out. But as the days went by, more and more participants were signing up - and within a week, far exceeding all expectations, ReCon 2021 drew in over a thousand participants.
Core members of Prometheus spoke on and discussed the creative and technical process of digital marketing. The webinar talked about the different steps to digital marketing: branding, graphic design, motion graphics, video production, and copywriting. All this is tied to strategizing and executing a cohesive campaign plan.

A thousand-strong webinar on improving one’s business shows not just technical skill in handling the event -- but also the talent to communicate and organize with others towards a common goal of communal improvement.

Days after ReCon 2021, we were already planning for ReCon 2022.
