Active practice, designed around how learners actually make mistakes
Live personal edtech product
Zloopy is an interactive English-learning platform built around contrastive grammar, active output and structured review. I created a playful multilingual experience that guides learners from onboarding into lessons, diagnostics and spaced repetition.
The Challenge
Intermediate learners often understand English passively but repeat structural mistakes when speaking or writing. Generic learning flows also overlook the different transfer patterns experienced by Portuguese- and Russian-speaking learners.
The Solution
I designed a product architecture combining guided lessons, immediate feedback, a structured roadmap and spaced-repetition concepts. The public deployment opens into a polished multilingual onboarding flow, while the product architecture supports lessons, review, progress and AI-assisted diagnostics.
My Role
Product concept, learning-experience strategy, UX/UI design, front-end development and full-stack implementation.
Key Features
Portuguese, Russian and English interface options
Structured lesson roadmap and active-practice model
Spaced-repetition flashcard concept
Progress, streak and XP feedback
AI-assisted tutoring and error-diagnostic architecture
Responsive mascot-led onboarding
UI/UX Design Decisions
A friendly purple palette, soft depth and expressive mascot animation lower the perceived difficulty of grammar practice. Large actions, concise copy and clear language switching make onboarding easy to scan on desktop and mobile.
Technology Stack
Next.js 14, React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, Framer Motion, Google Generative AI, Web Speech API and Web Audio API.
Project Outcome
A live edtech product with a polished public onboarding experience and an extensible architecture for lessons, review, progress and AI-assisted feedback. No learning or retention metrics are claimed.
