Columbia Sportswear needed a branded commercial that showcased their gear in real outdoor conditions. The focus was on performance, durability, and authentic use, not studio-lit product shots. They wanted something that felt grounded and physical, the kind of video that makes you want to get outside.
My Approach
I worked from raw outdoor footage shot across multiple locations. The edit was built around product moments: gear in motion, texture close-ups, environmental context. I structured the pacing to let each shot breathe while keeping the energy moving forward.
Color grading was done in DaVinci Resolve to pull out the natural tones of the landscape and make the Columbia gear pop without looking over-processed. Sound design layered ambient outdoor audio with a music bed that matched the energy of the visuals.
The Result
Delivered a final cut ready for social and web distribution. The commercial balances brand storytelling with product visibility, giving Columbia a piece that works as both a brand film and a product showcase. Final grade, sound mix, and multiple aspect ratio exports included.
