Overview 🔎

Create a product that can compete in the market, including all the possible users making it easy and fun to use, increasing the customer satisfaction.

Problem & Solution 🤝

Busy students don't have time to plan their weekly meals
Pain Points:
No time to go to the grocery
No motivation to eat better
Don't really know what to buy

Process 🛣

Research and Analysis: The first step is to gather information about the target audience, their needs, and their behaviors. This involves researching the challenges faced by students in planning their weekly meals, their dietary preferences, and the types of recipes they prefer.
Define User Requirements: Once the research is completed, the next step is to define the user requirements for the app. This involves identifying the features and functionalities that are necessary to meet the needs of the target audience. Some of the features could include meal planning, grocery list creation, recipe suggestions, and nutritional information.
Design and Prototyping: After defining the user requirements, the app design process begins. This involves creating wireframes and mockups to visualize the app's interface and user experience. Once the initial design is complete, the next step is to create a prototype of the app to test the user interface and gather feedback.
Development: The next stage is the actual development of the app. This involves coding the app's functionality, integrating any necessary APIs or services, and testing the app to ensure it works as intended.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Once the app is developed, the testing and quality assurance stage begins. This involves performing user acceptance testing to ensure that the app meets the user requirements and functions as expected.
Launch and Deployment: The final stage is to launch the app and deploy it to the app stores. This involves creating a marketing plan to promote the app, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance to ensure the app remains up-to-date and functional.

Results 🎁

We managed to create an app that offers:
Improved Meal Planning: The app can provide students with a simple and intuitive way to plan their meals for the week, helping them to make healthier and more informed food choices. This can lead to better nutrition, more balanced meals, and improved overall health and well-being.
Time and Cost Savings: The app can help students save time and money by providing them with recipe suggestions based on their preferences and dietary restrictions, as well as generating a grocery list for them. This can help them to be more efficient in their meal planning and reduce food waste.
Increased Productivity: By having a meal plan in place, students can reduce the time and stress associated with meal planning, allowing them to focus more on their studies and other activities. This can lead to increased productivity and improved academic performance.

Takeaways 📣

User Research is Key: Understanding the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the target audience is crucial to designing an app that meets their needs. Conducting user research, such as surveys or focus groups, can help to identify the pain points of meal planning for students and inform the app's design.
Simplicity is Key to User Adoption: To encourage user adoption, the app must be simple and intuitive to use. Overcomplicating the interface or including unnecessary features can lead to confusion and frustration among users. It is important to prioritize the most essential features and create a seamless user experience.
Iterative Design is Essential: Creating an app for students to plan their weekly meals is an iterative process. It is important to involve users in the design process through usability testing and feedback gathering to ensure that the app meets their needs and expectations. Iteratively testing and refining the design can lead to a better user experience and ultimately increase user adoption and satisfaction.
