Nerd Or Die is a long-running, design-led platform for stream overlays, widgets, and digital assets used by creators across Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. What began as a small side project has grown into a multi-category creative brand that has served millions of users over 10 years of partnership with the founder. We've shaped, and continuously evolved through end-to-end design, development, and marketing.
I oversee everything from brand direction and visual identity to product creation, product customization, launch strategy, and long-term SEO growth. The brand’s success is driven not only by incredible products and their aesthetic quality, but the systems, automation, customer support and user experience within their chosen stream software. This makes Nerd Or Die a trusted go-to for streamers worldwide.

Brand Direction & Visual Identity

I drive the creative vision for Nerd Or Die, mostly with product output. This includes:
Iconic overlay styles and modular design systems
High-detail widgets, chatboxes, alerts, and dynamic animations
Distinct seasonal, thematic, and genre-based art styles
A consistent, motion inclusion across all products
Each pack begins with visual exploration, concept sketches, and style definition. This ensures the final experience feels original, polished, and tailored to modern streaming aesthetics.

Product Design & Motion Graphics

I lead all product development across overlays, widgets, transitions, event lists, and interactive animations. This includes:
Full design pipeline: concept → art → animation → polish
Advanced Rive workflows (state machines, data-binding, rigging, constraints)
Custom motion systems optimized for OBS Studio, Streamlabs, StreamElements, and browser sources
UX for interactive widgets: goals, chatboxes, alerts, data-driven animations
Responsive and customizable product structures for creators with different setups

Beyond product design, I design and maintain the Nerd Or Die web ecosystem, including:
UX design and layout
UI component guidelines for packs, widgets, blog posts, and landing pages
End-to-end installation instructions and support experiences

I manage the entire SEO strategy for NerdOrDie.com, building an ecosystem designed to rank, convert, and educate. This includes:
High-quality blog content aligned with Google’s Helpful Content guidelines
Landing page optimization for overlays, widgets, alerts, and themes
Keyword research for competitive categories like Twitch Overlays, Stream Alerts, Christmas Overlays, and more
Ensuring every visual asset supports both user experience and search visibility
The SEO efforts play a major role in the brand’s long-term growth and product discoverability.

Community & Social Engagement

I lead all community-facing communication and creative engagement, including:
Discord announcements, previews, early-bird tester programs
Social posts, threads, giveaways, and challenges
Naming competitions, behind-the-scenes content, and community polls
Continuous conversation with streamers to refine the product roadmap

With the Nerd Or Die projects, I've found myself able to cultivate a brand across every stage of design and digital production. From the first sketch to the final launch strategy, and to maintain that brand at scale through ongoing creative and technical direction.
