This docu-fiction, halfway between journalistic investigation and conspiracy theory, explores a dark period in the history of the Girondins de Bordeaux, the most famous football club in the region. The 1940–1941 Coupe de France and the 1991 takeover of the club by optician and businessman Alain Afflelou are the events around which this research is articulated.
The collected and counterfeited elements are so many clues that allow us to reconsider local history and the context in which it is inscribed. Information that seems individually innocuous takes on a most disturbing turn once compiled. It thus becomes necessary to sharpen one's critical thinking and to question our ways of approaching and sorting the information transmitted to us, as well as the value we attribute to it.
Collective installation, with Romain Rivière.
