Problem
The fashion industry is constantly evolving, and there is a need for innovative designs that showcase the latest technology. However, creating such designs requires the collaboration of multiple companies with different areas of expertise. This can be a challenging task as it involves coordinating efforts and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
In addition, creating avant-garde garments requires advanced machinery and techniques that not all companies possess. This can limit the possibilities for designers and hinder their creativity.
Solution
MODA FUTURIBILE was created to address these challenges by bringing together a group of Italian companies, experimental designers, and stylists to develop a series of garments that showcase the latest technology in the fashion industry. The project was managed by our team in cooperation with Pitti Immagine Filati, MODA FUTURIBILE, and Santoni - a knitting machinery manufacturer.
Santoni's circular knitting machine model SMDJ2T was used to create an experimental leisure suit composed of leisure pants and a track-jacket, both knitted with premium yarns in gauge 15. The machine's advanced technology allowed numerous selections and mesh structures to be created that opened up new possibilities for designers and visitors to develop exciting new market segments.
