Overview

I set out to establish Thyme & Emerald as a trusted leader in the holistic wellness industry by creating a unique visual identity that reflects the brand's caring philosophy and holistic health approach.
I aimed to make it stand out in a crowded market and become a symbol of hope and empowerment, in line with its mission to inspire positive change and authentic, vibrant living.

The Process

01. Brand Strategy Workbook

We kicked off the rebranding project with a series of questions and exercises designed to clarify the brand's purpose, messaging, and style.
This workbook supported the owner's exploration of her brand's core elements, including its unique selling proposition (USP), brand story, and target audience. It encouraged her to address vital questions such as what distinguishes her brand and how to establish a meaningful connection with her audience.
Furthermore, it assisted us in defining the brand's voice, style, and visual elements such as logos, colors, and fonts. At the same time, the insights gained from the Brand Strategy Workbook not only guided the rebranding process but also established a robust foundation for the brand's future marketing activities.

02. Creative Direction

The client was presented with four mood boards and she selected one that resonated most closely with their vision. From there, I worked to refine the chosen concept, ensuring it captured the essence of the brand while meeting the client's expectations.
This refined visual direction served as the blueprint for all subsequent design elements, ensuring consistency and coherence across the brand's image and messaging.

03. Logo Design

The next phase was designing the logo. I created three different logo concepts based on the chosen mood board and the client selected one of them. From there, I worked on refining that chosen concept, ensuring it perfectly captured the brand's essence. We iterated on the design until we both felt it accurately represented Thyme & Emerald's identity and resonated with its target audience.

04. Brand Board

Following the logo design phase, I created the brand board. This document included the finalized logos, the chosen color palette, typography, and additional symbols or graphic elements relevant to the brand's identity. The brand board serves as a visual guide and reference point for maintaining consistency across all brand communications and materials.

05. Canva Templates

I also created custom Canva templates, designed to streamline the creation of Instagram posts. By providing ready-to-use templates, I empowered the client to easily produce professional-looking content while maintaining brand consistency. This approach not only saves time and resources but also ensures that the brand's visual identity remains cohesive.

06. Instagram Style Guide

As the final step, I curated an Instagram Style Guide that served as a mock-up showcasing how the brand's Instagram feed could look like. It provided a visual representation of the cohesive aesthetic and branding elements, including color schemes, imagery styles, and content themes. By presenting a preview of the Instagram feed, the Style Guide offered a clear vision of the brand's online presence and helped ensure consistency in visual storytelling and messaging across all Instagram posts.
