Auka Style – Website for a Handmade Leather Bag Brand (Ecuador & Canada)

THE CHALLENGE

Auka Style makes handcrafted leather bags in a workshop in Quito, Ecuador, and sells them from a showroom near Vancouver, Canada. Founded by Stephanie Pineda, a self-taught designer, the brand is built on slow craftsmanship and gives back to children's causes in Ecuador. Their challenge: a handmade, premium product is hard to sell through a screen. The website needed to make people feel the craft, trust a brand across two countries, and order a bag made just for them.

MY APPROACH

✦ Story first: "Made with Intention. Carried with Pride." opens on the real workshop, so the craft is visible from the first second

✦ Two locations, one brand: dedicated pages for Auka Ecuador (workshop, artisans) and Auka Canada (shop, collections, showroom, shipping)

✦ "Design Your Bag": a custom-order page where customers choose leather, details, and style before the artisans make it

✦ Our Story page with the founders and the causes the brand supports, building trust and emotional connection

✦ Warm, editorial visual identity: elegant serif typography, earthy tones and real photography, fully responsive on every device
