350.org is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on publicizing the increasing levels of carbon dioxide, in hopes that it will pressure world leaders to address climate change, and in turn, reduce levels of carbon dioxide from 400 parts per million to 350 parts per million.  350’s main goal is to build a global grass roots movement in order to raise awareness of human-driven climate change, challenge climate change denial, and to cut emissions of carbon dioxide.  350 is guided by three principles
Listen to communities who are getting hit hardest by climate change, and following the leadership of those who are on the frontlines of the crisis
Bring people together — environmentalists, students, business owners, faith groups, labor unions, universities and more — to build diverse coalitions that are strong enough to stand up against climate change
Create mass mobilization of communities in order to make change happen

Dear Ms. Giese,
350.org is a non-profit organization focused on publicizing the increasing levels of carbon dioxide, in hopes that it will pressure world leaders to address climate change, and in turn, reduce levels of carbon dioxide from 400 parts per million to 350 parts per million.  Our organization will be hosting a membership drive for our Ann Arbor, Michigan chapter, the Ecology Center, on Saturday April 16, 2016 at the University of Michigan’s Museum of Art’s Helmut Stern Auditorium.  Our goal for this event is to commission new members who support the Ecology Center, and 350.org’s mission and cause for global reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.
The success of this event will provide the Ann Arbor community, as well as surrounding communities and globally, resources and information regarding the global reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, with the adage of new members.  Featured presentations include members of the Ecology Center team: Director, Climate & Energy Program, Charles Griffith, Environmental Educator, Melisa Cooper Sargent, and with special guest, Academy AwardTM winner, and leading environmentalist, Leonardo DiCaprio on environmental issues facing our planet now, and what we can do in order to help.
With increased anticipation for our event, we would like to propose a sponsorship from your institution.  We are asking your business to provide $1,000 in donations for general sponsorship.  In addition, your institution will be announced as our general sponsor.  Our membership drive is a local event, and will benefit all local businesses involved.
Please let us know if you would be interested in partnering for this opportunity to support 350.org’s main goal of building a global grass roots movement in order to raise awareness of human-driven climate change, challenge climate change denial, and to cut emissions of carbon dioxide.  Please respond by January 28, 2016.  Your support of 350.org and its Ann Arbor chapter, the Ecology Center, is greatly appreciated.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with additional questions.
