🔍 About the Game

“Subway Nomads” is a gritty first-person survival game set in the collapsing underbelly of a post-apocalyptic subway system. Developed as a blend of base-building, narrative mystery, and open-world exploration, players navigate danger-filled tunnels and uncover buried secrets about a world—and a corporation—that fell apart.
Whether escaping to the surface or carving out a life in the shadows, players decide their fate in this story-rich survival experience. Built with multiplayer co-op, crafting, and metro train customisation, the game offers layered gameplay in an immersive, hostile world.

🎧 My Role: Sound Designer

For Subway Nomads, I worked on building a tense, immersive soundscape that captures the game’s survivalist tone and shifting moods, from eerie stillness to explosive action.
Key Contributions:
Created ambience layers for stations, tunnels, and derelict trains, with reverb-heavy textures and echoing drips
Designed zombie vocalisations and alert triggers, blending processed human recordings with distortion
Developed footstep systems and environmental foley for different surfaces and conditions (metal, gravel, debris)
Composed and implemented dynamic audio cues for combat, train upgrades, and narrative reveals
Collaborated closely with the dev team to match audio to modular level design and co-op gameplay

This was a major dive into systemic sound design—working with open-world gameplay and multiplayer features required modularity and reactivity. I honed my skills in spatial audio, environmental storytelling through sound, and adaptive design for branching gameplay paths.
