The Baltimore Development Corp. on Thursday issued two requests for proposals for the redevelopment of multiple buildings and a parking lot on the city’s west side.
One RFP comes after the BDC received unsolicited proposals for properties located in the Liberty Park area. That RFP includes five city-owned properties on the eastern edge of the west side in the Market Center Urban Renewal Area. The properties are considered a single site in Liberty Park. Those properties being offered are:
144 W. Fayette St. – a vacant four-story plus basement masonry building. Total floor area is estimated at 6,080 square feet.
142 W. Fayette St. – a vacant four-story plus basement masonry building. Total floor area is approximately 4,179 square feet.
102 N. Liberty St. – a vacant three-story plus basement masonry building. Total floor area is estimated at 3,300 square feet.
104 N. Liberty St. – a vacant four-story plus basement masonry building. Total floor area is approximately 3,000 square feet.
106 N. Liberty St. – a vacant four-story plus basement masonry building. Total floor area is estimated at 2,736 square feet.
A second RFP was issued for two sites, also within the Market Center Urban Renewal Area, in Liberty Clay.
Site A includes a 23,054 square foot parking lot and a vacant two-story, 3,054 square foot non-historic building at 208 N. Liberty St. It also includes a historic vacant four-story, 3,648 square foot property at 207-209 Park Ave. That property is subject to the Memorandum of Agreement between the Maryland Historical Trust and the City of Baltimore.
Site B includes a vacant three-story, 5,340 square foot historic building at 114 W. Lexington St., and a corner four-story, 12,083 square foot non-historic at 116-120 W. Lexington St.
The BDC is offering the properties “as-is.” Proposals for the Liberty Clay RFP must include all properties within one or both sites.
Meanwhile, the city anticipates completion of redevelopment for both the Liberty Park and Liberty Clay projects within 24 months following settlement.
Deadline for submission of proposals for Liberty Park is 12 p.m. on Dec. 12, while the deadline for Liberty Clay is 12 p.m. on Dec. 20. More information can be found at http://www.baltimoredevelopment.com.
