Challenge—Designing a Live Music Cafe Experience
To create a cafe that enhances live music performances while balancing ambiance, acoustics, functionality, and comfort for both performers and guests.
Strategy
A layered design approach was used to shape atmosphere and performance experience. Warm lighting, acoustic panels, and greenery establish a welcoming ambiance that supports sound quality and adds a natural touch. Flexible seating arrangements cater to solo visitors and groups, while combination of chairs, long tables, and lounge seating ensures versatility.
The stage is designed as a sculptural focal point, with a curved form inspired by a piano and an acoustic ceiling element that enhances sound while maintaining visual harmony.
