Directed and executed a full-scale marketing campaign for Sakura Anime Fest, a hybrid anime and gaming convention targeting audiences across Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. The campaign focused on maximizing reach, engagement, and ticket conversions through a multi-platform content and paid media strategy.
On Instagram alone, the campaign generated 110,000+ impressions, 4,000+ interactions, and ~240 new followers within the promotional window. Content performance was driven by a mix of short-form video, countdown posts, vendor spotlights, and event announcements, creating consistent engagement spikes leading up to the event.
Designed and launched Meta ad campaigns targeting cross-border audiences, contributing to increased traffic to pre-registration pages and supporting early-bird ticket conversions. Strategic use of urgency-based messaging (discount deadlines, event countdowns) helped drive action during key conversion periods.
Developed conversion-focused creative assets, including QR-based registration graphics and clear CTA-driven posts, optimizing the path from discovery to sign-up. This resulted in strong engagement-to-conversion flow, particularly during high-intent phases of the campaign.
Key performance highlights:
110K+ impressions (Instagram)
4K+ total interactions (Instagram)
~240 followers gained during campaign period
Consistent engagement growth across promotional timeline
The campaign successfully translated digital reach into real-world impact, contributing to strong event attendance and participation across core attractions, including tournaments, cosplay contests, and vendor activations.
This project highlights expertise in performance marketing, audience targeting, content strategy, and conversion optimization, with a proven ability to turn social engagement into tangible event outcomes.
