I redesigned the Cavendish Legal Group website from the ground up as part of a wider brand and digital refresh, creating a modern, approachable experience that makes navigating the legal side of moving home feel simpler and more human.

Cavendish Legal Group needed a refreshed digital presence that better reflected its expertise while feeling accessible to people navigating one of life's biggest milestones: moving home.

The challenge was to balance the credibility expected from an established legal practice with a warmer, more contemporary experience - while making a large amount of service information easy to navigate across desktop and mobile.

I was responsible for the website design in Figma, taking the project from page structure and visual exploration through to polished, responsive UI designs ready for development.

A key goal of the redesign was to move away from the traditionally formal feel associated with legal websites.

Instead, I created an experience centred around clarity, reassurance and forward movement.

The design uses strong editorial typography, generous spacing, approachable imagery and a restrained visual system to establish trust without making the experience feel overly corporate.

Information was broken into clear, scannable sections so visitors could quickly understand what Cavendish offers and find the service relevant to their property journey.

The website needed to work for people arriving with very different goals.

Some visitors are researching conveyancing services, while others already have an active case and simply need to track its progress. Others may be looking for a quote, information about Shared Ownership or specialist support with a new-build purchase.

I therefore designed prominent pathways around these key actions, including:

This creates a clearer route through the site without overwhelming users with legal information upfront.

Mobile wasn't treated as an afterthought.

Layouts, navigation, typography, content cards and calls-to-action were considered across screen sizes so the experience remained intuitive and visually consistent on smaller devices.

Components were designed to adapt rather than simply shrink, helping preserve hierarchy and usability throughout the responsive experience.

Because the website contains multiple service areas and content types, consistency was essential.

I established reusable patterns for service cards, content sections, imagery, buttons, typography and calls-to-action. This helped create a cohesive experience across the site while making the designs more practical to translate into development.

The result is a complete digital refresh for Cavendish Legal Group: a cleaner, more confident and approachable website that brings the firm's expertise together with a much more human experience.

The finished site gives key services greater prominence, provides clearer pathways for new and existing clients, and translates consistently between desktop and mobile.
