Brand Story

Alayo Travel, formerly known as Alayo Luxury Travel, is a travel agency dedicated to helping individuals, young professionals, and small corporate bodies plan memorable trips, vacations, and even quick weekend getaways. The agency's mission is to make travel feel less like a luxury reserved for a few and more like an accessible, essential experience for everyone. They take pride in removing the hassle of travel planning, leaving their clients free to fully immerse themselves in the experience.

Discovery & Strategy

During the initial discovery call, we delved deep into Alayo Travel’s journey—exploring how it started, what makes it unique, and the vision that drives the founder. The insights we gathered during this conversation helped lay a solid foundation for the brand's new direction.
To build an effective strategy, we conducted a series of workshops aimed at defining client personas and clarifying the brand’s personality. The workshops unearthed a crucial realization: Alayo Travel aims to strike a balance between accessibility and excitement, embodying a “travel for all” philosophy that promotes both fun and relaxation.

Customer Research

To capture the essence of Alayo Travel, we decided to carry out customer research to understand what potential clients valued more—luxury or excitement. We asked prospective clients whether they preferred a lavish experience (5-star hotels and top-notch services) or a vibrant, adventurous journey. This feedback was instrumental in shaping our creative direction.

Creative Direction

Simultaneously, we developed two moodboards to visually communicate the brand’s potential paths. One moodboard centered on a luxurious, high-end feel, while the other focused on a lively, fun atmosphere. When the research results came in, they revealed a strong client preference for fun-filled experiences over traditional luxury. However, the client appreciated some elements of the luxury theme, so we combined the two approaches to create a unique visual identity for Alayo Travel that was both sophisticated and playful.

Logo, Color Scheme, and Typography

With a clear vision established, we began the design phase by working on Alayo Travel’s logo. The final design was a combination mark that spelled out "Alayo" with symbols representing two common travel modes: air (a plane) and sea (a boat cruise). This symbolized Alayo's versatility and focus on helping clients explore the world.

For the typeface, we needed something bold, modern, and slightly adventurous to reflect the spirit of exploration. Mluvka Grotesk was chosen, providing a playful yet confident look that resonated with the brand’s youthful, dynamic identity.

Our color scheme aimed to evoke a sense of wanderlust and luxury, balancing richness with an approachable feel. This palette, along with the chosen typeface, offered a perfect blend of professionalism and liveliness.

Supporting Assets

To add depth to Alayo Travel’s visual identity, we created versatile supporting assets.

The Fly Arrow

The "Fly Arrow," an element derived from the logo, symbolizes movement and can be used on social media or print materials to indicate destinations or highlight calls to action (CTAs).

The Sea Waves

Another asset, the "Sea Waves," extracted from the lower portion of the logo, adds a sense of motion and can serve as a decorative border on marketing collateral. These assets were designed to be flexible, capable of being used individually or as a set to add visual consistency across different media.
