(Documentary film) - Grant Financed - Portland, OR
This is my current video project. I received an initial $15k grant to produce the first part focused on Peer Support Services. The second film, currently in production, in this docu-series focuses on the decriminalization and now re-criminalization of Measure 110. To date, I have received a $20k grant for the second film.
I am the Producer, Director and Writer for this project. As of December 2023, we are starting to submit the first 28-minute short to festivals and are seeking other avenues for distribution for the eventual three-part series.
For the first film, my aim is to highlight peer specialists and their stories while also giving insight into the work they do. The people interviewed for this video project were previously incarcerated on drug related charges. Most are still in recovery. They are the hope that the drug crisis needs right now. Their dedication deserves attention at this time.
