Documentary Short (TRT 20 mins) Moving Into Adulthood delves into the lives of two former students from Portland State University. Sawyer and Wyatt, both on the Autism spectrum, were in the first graduating class of the Career and Community Studies program at PSU. Despite graduating during the COVID pandemic in 2020, both young men landed jobs at Nike. This short student-film covers their journeys as they face life’s challenges as young neurodivergent adults. This film was my Capstone Project. I co-wrote, directed, produced and edited this piece.

The film received Best Director of Documentary Short Film at the 2022 Seattle Film Festival, Audience Favorite Award from the 2022 AutFest: Texas Autism Film Festival, Best Student Documentary Short Film from the 2023 Beach Cities Inspirational Film Festival, Best Autism Film from the 2023 Star City Film Festival and screened at the 2022 Portland Film Festival.
