At Earthling, we’re investing in pre-seed companies pushing the boundaries of digital immersion and augmenting human capabilities; making technology more multi-dimensional, multi-sensory and in the end, more human.
The Project:
Earthling VC aimed to create a web design that would provide a simple yet elevated user experience. The design focused on incorporating a captivating background video and minimalistic elements to effectively communicate their mission and values.
Timeline: 3 weeks
1. Web Design
The goal was to create a captivating experience that immersed the user into the site. With the in mind, we created a loading animation that flickers through different roles, communicating their philosophy - that before all, we are earthlings. The animation then acts as a portal, with the circle expanding the entire screen before arriving to the main site.
2. Development
The main site features a "zoom out" interaction, where by clicking on the screen or the "info" link, the video shrinks to a smaller version and reveals the logo and company info. This interaction gives the user control over what is displayed, and completes the immersive experience of the earthling website.
