Designing an App to be used NationWide
Posturinn is the National Icelandic Postal Service for which, along with the people from Code North, we’ve built a modern, sleek, easy-to-use application taking the postal service and their customers to the future of digital transformation. With only a few clicks, users can keep track of their shipments, create new ones or even deal with customs, including payment of taxes and document management.
Straightforward and simple to use
The most beautiful things are the simplest things. Sometimes we get lost in details leaving aside the final purpose for which we are designing. In this case, the opposite happened. The main concern was the function of each of the elements to be designed in the App.
Modular Design
Being a massively used App, the components to be designed had to be modular and easy to expand. For which I have created a design system through which the App can add or remove functionalities as the product evolves.
Embracing the blank Space
Sending packages can be a cumbersome and bureaucratic process, however what we were looking for was exactly the opposite. To give the App a feeling of simplicity, I looked for the use of large white spaces and giving it a leisurely pace to use, in this way we generate peace of mind for the user and give them the security they need to be able to send.
