Designing the UK's First Zero Interest Wallet

Mhlengi Mntungwa

As the world is recovering from the pandemic, people are still weary about contaminated surfaces, yet restrictions are ending and people want to shop. Tap and pay might be the perfect way to ease people back into retail shopping, and something Zilch is poised to take advantage of. The next growth area could come from tapping into the burgeoning Tap and Tap sector.
The current payment process is fraught with friction that could be churning customers to the double-digits. End-to-end, it involves: Opening the application, Selecting a retailer to shop with, Selecting payment option: now or split, Load the website, Register an account, Fill your basket, Checkout, Paste Zilch card number (check app), Paste CCV and expiry date.
