Slice Tokenization Platform - Figma + Framer

Fausto Di Marco

A full ecosystem for asset tokenization

Slicer is a tokenization platform that enables the creation and management of digital tokens representing real-world assets. It focuses on providing infrastructure to tokenize various assets, allowing users to invest in and trade these tokenized assets seamlessly through a blockchain-based system. The platform emphasizes security, transparency, and efficiency in asset tokenization, making it easier for businesses and investors to access liquidity and fractional ownership opportunities.

The problem to solve with Design

Designing the interface for Slice, was about more than just technology, it was about creating a space where users feel confident and at ease, even when managing complex digital assets. I focused on building a simple, intuitive experience that helps users move through tasks like token sales and portfolio management with minimal effort or confusion.

The use of Animations and Interactions

To make the platform feel alive and responsive, I embraced an animation-first approach, using thoughtful motion to gently guide users, confirm actions, and provide clear feedback without distraction. Choosing a dark mode with rich green gradients wasn’t just an aesthetic choice, it reflects the platform’s innovative spirit while creating a comfortable, calming environment that reduces eye strain during long sessions.
The goal was to blend beauty and function seamlessly so the technology fades into the background, empowering users to focus on what matters most with clarity and confidence.

Why I choose Framer.com for this project

When deciding between Framer and Figma for designing the user interface for Slice, I chose Framer for several key reasons that aligned with the project's needs:
Live Interactivity and Animations: Framer offers fully functional live interactivity and low-code animations, which allowed me to create a dynamic and engaging UI that enhances user experience. This was particularly important for Slice, as it enables users to interact more intuitively with complex tokenization processes.
Built-in SEO and Performance Optimization: Unlike Figma, which focuses solely on design, Framer provides built-in SEO tools and optimizes website performance for speed and user experience "out of the box." This capability is crucial for Slice, as it ensures that the platform is both visually appealing and search engine friendly.
One-Click Publishing: Framer allows for one-click website publishing, which streamlined the launch process and eliminated the need for third-party website builders. This feature was invaluable for quickly deploying Slice's platform to the web, ensuring timely access to users.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: While Figma excels in design collaboration, Framer extends collaboration to marketers and stakeholders, enabling them to update live sites without touching design files. This was essential for Slice, as it required seamless collaboration across different team.
