CHOPRAIT - BRANDING PROJECT

BRAND OVERVIEW
The scope of the project was to craft a brand for a kiosk chain restaurant business located in Lagos. It tries to imitate the Hausa Meshayi system of setting up shop at select locations with foot traffic and just traffic generally.
They provide a unique menu which they've ascribed as 'munchies'. The delicious array include chocolate and strawberry-jam-filled 'puffies'. They also served meals like 'akara elepo', Indomie combos, Bread and condiment combos, and even pancakes.
The aim was to satisfy the quick urge for something to snack on. The are all made within the a 5-8 minute period and there are always two people inside the kiosk whie the Security/Cashier is the one that handles the queing and/or seating arrangements available to the kiosk. Obviously, some of the buildings might be the size of full scale McDonald level production systems, but the aim is still to start small with kiosk level properties.
BRIEF
I was charged to design a logo with brand assets and packaging solutions that apply to the brand. The fous words were 'inviting', 'simple' and 'solid'. They wanted to embody a brand that was easy to recognise, had a memorable look, used industry-appropriate colors and incited confidence in the services they provide.
SOLUTION
Going into the project I was really focused on the colors and I tried to choose very recognisable colors which I combined with a flame element to create a logo with the Poppins font. I chose the font because its 'simple' and 'solid' and the colors because they were industry-appropriate and 'inviting'.
When I was creating the assets and deliverables, I designed deliverables that were befitting for a brand with a business and growth model applicable to them. I chose to design aprons, an app loading screen and also packaging solutions for the brand.
When working on a branding project, I listen first to the brand's needs and their voice so as to create an identity and brand collateral that's befitting for their brand. I tailor my branding package to fulfill the brand's needs from the conception till when I deliver the final designs. For me, I'm just a channel of the brand's vision.
