Frontend Development for Carmatik.ro

Roman Robert

Roman Robert

carmatik.ro is a production car marketplace in Romania. Buyers browse live dealer stock, sellers list their own cars, and dealers run their listings from an account area. I build and maintain the frontend of all three.

What I built

Buyer storefront. A stock listing behind 14 filters with six sort options, and vehicle pages led by a gallery with a full-screen lightbox.
Leasing calculator. On every vehicle page, a down payment and a term from 12 to 60 months turn into a monthly cost sitting next to the asking price, so a buyer never leaves the page to work it out.
Seller flow. A four-section listing form that checks itself as it is filled in, with 160+ equipment options grouped into seven collapsible sets and a photo uploader with drag ordering and a designated cover shot.
Account area. Login, registration and a my-listings dashboard with active, draft and deactivated tabs.
Dealer help center. As-you-type search, category pages and step-by-step articles with a was-this-helpful vote.
Every screen, both sizes. Filters and modals become bottom sheets on phones rather than shrunken desktop panels.

The hard part

Two audiences share one platform.
A buyer wants to find and price a car in as few taps as possible, a seller wants to publish one without it feeling like paperwork.
The listing form is the clearest example: it is long by necessity, so it is split into four sections that report their own state.
Finished sections get a checkmark, unfinished ones count the required fields still missing, and work in progress parks as a draft. Nothing goes live unreviewed, a finished listing goes to validation first.

Result

Live at carmatik.ro. A buyer filters real stock, opens a vehicle page and prices the car without leaving it. A seller creates an account, fills one guided form and manages the listing from a dashboard. Dealers learn the platform from the searchable help center instead of a phone call.
Screens are in Romanian, the platform's home market.
