App Description

Farmsteaders Toolkit is an app designed to make keeping track of animals as easy as possible for Farmsteaders.

The app was developed for Android native with Kotlin using Jetpack compose as the UI Framework and ROOM as the persistent local database.

The client can add their cows into the app giving them a name, tag, Date of Birth, and comments/description.

They can then log into the app every day to 'checkin' each cow they have. Each checkin allows them to log any products they harvested (such as milk) as well as add any events that may have happened that day which they would like to received a reminder about. E.g. If the cow was Artificially Inseminated on that day and the user would like to receive a reminder in 28 days about the cows AI cycle.

The app also provides the client with monthly milk reports which displays how many Litres of milk they have collected this month compared to last month, which can be especially useful when they want to compare the effectiveness of different types of feed/grass.
