I served as the project manager for this initiative, the scope encompassed transitioning from one patient experience survey vendor to another vendor with no gaps in survey releases. The purpose of this transition was to allow for increased patient survey response, while decreasing the number of survey questions.
This project required me to terminate the existing contract, ensure appropriate data retention for any future accreditation requests, while simultaneously working with the new vendor to transition and implement any changes/needs identified by different lines of businesses.
This project required me to work with both vendors and their executives, along with my own executive-level management, department managers, and Medical Informatics department.
This project turned out to be a success, as there were no gaps in survey releases between the two vendors and after continued monitoring efforts, the patient survey vendor and survey changes resulted in increased responses.In this role, I have evolved my roles from primarily being a Process Improvement Consultant who initiates and executes process improvement projects within the organization to being a part of a newly found specialized team that is solely focused on building out the framework for the Data Governance program within the organization.
