This project was part of my internship journey as a UI/UX Designer, where I collaborated with a team to develop the first official website for Bungah Family Dental Care, an established family dental clinic located in Semarang.
Bungah Family Dental Care is situated about 500 meters behind Poncol Train Station, near Tanah Mas Residence. Known for its modern facilities and experienced dental team, the clinic serves patients of all ages.
This landing page was designed to represent the clinic’s warm, professional image while ensuring easy access to vital information for both current and prospective patients.
2️⃣ Problem
Before having an official website, Bungah Family Dental Care relied heavily on direct inquiries via WhatsApp or walk-in visits just to provide basic information such as pricing, services, and clinic hours.
This approach not only consumed time and resources but also limited accessibility, especially for new or prospective patients who needed quick, reliable info online.
The primary challenges identified in this project were:
Information Accessibility: Without a centralized platform, patients and potential clients had to inquire about services, pricing, and other details via WhatsApp or by visiting the clinic directly, which was inefficient and time-consuming.
User Convenience: Patients needed a simple and streamlined way to access complete information about the clinic’s services, doctors, pricing, and FAQs in one place.
Brand Credibility: Establishing an official, well-designed online presence to enhance the clinic’s professionalism and trustworthiness.
3️⃣ Process
We kicked off the project by aligning goals through collaborative discussions between the project manager and the clinic owner (the doctor). These discussions helped define the core features, structure, and content the website needed to have.
As the UI/UX Designer, I translated these requirements into wireframes and design prototypes. Each iteration was reviewed by the project manager, who communicated feedback from the clinic to ensure alignment with their expectations.
To ensure ease of use and a consistent look and feel, these core design components were developed with purpose and precision.
4️⃣Outcome
The final deliverables included:
✨ wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes
✨ Responsive for desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts.
5️⃣ Impact & Reflection
This project challenged me to think critically about how digital presence can shape real-world patient experiences. One of the key challenges was designing for clarity—translating medical and service-related information into a format that’s easy to navigate and understand for all age groups.
By collaborating closely with non-design stakeholders, I gained insights into balancing user needs with business goals. It taught me the importance of clear communication, responsive design thinking, and attention to micro-interactions that guide users effectively.
