2023 and golf fashion has had one of its most exciting years yet. 7-Eleven released one of the most hyped collections of the year.
The Convenience Tour is 7-Eleven’s first ever entry into golf, released through its merch division called 7Collection. Designed for both men and women, the brand has gone full-on retro to the tune of bowling shirts, pique polos, rope hats and tube socks. And quite cleverly, everything revolves around the motto “Can’t Play 18 Without 7 and 11.”
I helped with the concept, colors, selecting designs and placements on merchandise for this project. The color story is told in the brand’s signature green, yellow and orange, which are more often than not used as accents. Just take the aforementioned bowling shirt as an example, which uses a base of light brown with a contrasting green placket and asymmetric green, red and orange stripes. The mid weight cotton tee shirts are all primarily green with various phrases and graphics on the reverse side. Moving on, the polos are classically styled like the men’s Crest Polo with collar and cuff tipping, and the women’s Camp Crop Polo with its open collar and rugby-like color blocking. Other entries from the convenience chain encompass tees, towels, totes and keychains.
The collection is modestly priced with items ranging between $2 and $50 USD. Although popular items like the button up and polos are currently sold out.
