AI-Powered Sustainability Intelligence for Modern Businesses

TruCarbon® is an AI-powered platform that helps businesses measure, reduce, and offset their carbon emissions. The project focused on building a brand and digital presence that could communicate complex sustainability data with clarity, while establishing trust in a space often filled with vague claims and greenwashing.

The Challenge

Sustainability is often commnunicated but rarely proven.

Most carbon management platforms struggle with credibility. Their messaging is abstract, their visuals are inconsistent, and their digital presence fails to translate complex data into something users can actually understand or trust. TruCarbon needed a system that didn’t just explain what it does, but made its value feel clear, structured, and believable.
The Goal

Create a brand that makes carbon accountability feel clear, credible and actionable

The project needed to establish a strong, modern identity that communicates trust at first glance, while building a consistent visual system that works across digital touchpoints. It also required a website experience that simplifies complexity, prioritizes clarity, and positions TruCarbon as a serious, data-driven platform rather than just another sustainability brand.

Logo Concept

The identity was designed to reflect the intersection of truth and carbon accountability. The monogram combines T (Truth) and C (Carbon) into a single mark, reinforcing the idea that carbon management must be rooted in transparency. The form is minimal and balanced, allowing it to function both as a brand symbol and a trust mark.

Typography

Neue Montreal was chosen for its clean, contemporary feel and strong legibility. It brings a neutral, structured tone that supports clarity without feeling overly corporate, making it suitable for both data-heavy interfaces and brand communication.

Color system

The palette balances deep greens and teals with neutral tones. Green anchors the brand in sustainability, while cooler tones introduce a sense of technology and precision. The restrained use of color ensures the focus stays on content and data.

Brand Application

The identity was extended across multiple touchpoints to ensure consistency and real-world usability. Applications include digital posters, social media assets, and pitch deck slides, all designed using the same grid-based system and minimal aesthetic. Each asset prioritizes clarity, with bold typography and data-driven messaging used to communicate impact quickly.

Website

The website was designed as a clarity-first experience. Its role is to simplify a complex product and build trust quickly. The structure follows a direct flow — introducing the platform, breaking it into three core actions (Measure, Capture, Offset), and reinforcing credibility through data and metrics. The layout uses modular grids, strong hierarchy, and generous spacing to reduce cognitive load, allowing users to understand the product without friction. Every section is intentional, designed to answer a question rather than fill space.

Brand Guidelines

The guidelines define how TruCarbon maintains consistency across every touchpoint. This includes logo usage, spacing rules, color application, and typography hierarchy. More importantly, the system emphasizes restraint avoiding unnecessary visual noise and ensuring every element serves a purpose. The goal was to create a framework that scales easily while preserving clarity, whether applied to digital products, marketing assets, or external communications.

Reflection

This project reinforced the importance of clarity as a design principle, especially in complex industries like sustainability. Moving forward, I’d explore pushing the data experience further — designing more interactive visualizations and deeper product touchpoints that continue to translate complexity into something intuitive and actionable.
