The Zira Project

In a world that is always getting smaller because of digital advancements, many Nigerians living abroad have made it a priority to reconnect with their roots and homeland. I understand the difficulties that the Nigerian diaspora faces in completing important tasks and staying connected with their loved ones back home. That's why I collaborated and worked on a design project to create a digital product that can effortlessly bridge these distances.

According to the research conducted, many Nigerians living abroad face significant challenges in efficiently and effectively managing their affairs and responsibilities back in Nigeria. Some of the identified challenges are:

Remote management                                         Insufficient reliable networks

How might we make it possible for Nigerians in the diaspora to access a reliable and user-friendly platform that helps them handle their affairs and services in Nigeria? 

To support Nigerians living abroad by making it easier, more convenient, and reliable for them to take care of tasks and services back home.

Sketch and Prototype In the initial stages of brainstorming and designing the product, I created high-fidelity wireframes to outline the overall user navigation and to be evaluated by all project stakeholders.

Before starting the product interface design, I conducted a testing phase to uncover potential usability issues within the prototype.

After addressing and rectifying all the usability issues identified in the wireframes, I initiated the design of the ultimate screens.

Following the brand's design system standards, I proceeded to create new elements for the product, encompassing the development of the dashboard, route design, and plan creation features. The interface design was crafted with a contemporary, approachable, and minimalist aesthetic. Carefully crafted with a focus on the user experience and technological progress, our final product iterations effortlessly support crucial tasks, providing both convenience and a reassuring sense of cultural connection.

I actively participated in making important business decisions with the goal of taking the product to the next level, and this experience served as a reminder of the importance of considering the ideas and input of the entire team involved in the project before making any decisions or changes to a product.

The development process of this project allowed me to gain knowledge and experience in leading and managing the research and development strategy of a large product.
