Sylus is an AI data analyst built for business and data teams. It connects to the tools and systems a company already uses, lets people ask questions in plain English, and turns live business data into answers, charts, dashboards, reports and alerts without requiring SQL.

The Challenge

The interesting problem with Sylus is that the product sounds simple from the outside. Ask a question and get an answer.
Underneath that interaction, though, Sylus can connect hundreds of data sources, understand the context behind a company’s metrics, query live data and return governed insights that people across the business can actually use.
The challenge was to show that depth without turning the film into either a technical diagram or another piece of vague “AI magic”.

The Approach

I built the story around the simplest part of the product experience when you ask a question.
From there, the video opens up what happens behind that interaction. Different business systems become connected, data is analyzed, and the result comes back as something immediately useful instead of another pile of raw information.
The same insight can then move into charts, dashboards, scheduled reports or alerts, which mirrors how Sylus turns a single question into something teams can keep using.

My Role

My role included product storytelling, concept development, storyboard direction, visual direction, motion direction, project management and hands-on work on key scenes.

The Result

The final explainer gives Sylus a visual story for a product that sits between AI, analytics and business intelligence.
Instead of trying to make AI feel futuristic, the film focuses on the useful shift Sylus creates. Business questions no longer have to turn into SQL requests, analyst tickets or spreadsheet archaeology. They can start as a normal question and come back as something the team can actually act on.
