Branded Blog Content for Thompson Hotels

Francine Boulanger

From 2018 to 2020, I crafted engaging blog posts and sourced high-quality images for Thompson Hotels. My work adhered to their exacting brand guidelines, which emphasized aspirational and luxury magazine editorial standards.

Designed to appeal to Thompson Hotels' sophisticated guests, the content was written to highlight the unique experiences each location offered—all with a touch of humor and edge.

Pitching and writing content for luxury brand standards

As the exclusive blog writer for Thompson Hotels, I pitched and wrote 21 blog posts each month, comprising three stories for seven destinations across North America and Mexico. These stories covered themes of adventure and experience, culture, and interviews.
The content was not only featured on the blog but also appeared on Thompson Hotels' social channels and in their monthly emails.

Streamlined Processes and Multi-Channel Utilization

I delivered the blog copy in Word documents and provided a separate file of photos, which I sourced from social media. This allowed the Thompson Hotels team to easily repurpose the content across other channels, maximizing its impact and utility.

It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, the blog was discontinued and taken offline due to the pandemic and subsequent acquisition by Hyatt.
