3D point cloud (code-rendered 3D explainer)
How a terrestrial laser scanner turns a site into a 3D model: one distance and two angles per point, a full 360° sweep, and the point cloud building up as the scanner turns. A 12-second 9:16 explainer with a moving 3D camera, glow, word-by-word kinetic captions and sound effects synthesised in code. The scene is a simulated scan (about 61,000 synthetic points), not real survey data. Direction and QA by me; the animation was built with AI assistance and is fully code-rendered (Three.js, headless browser, FFmpeg), so every frame is reproducible and easy to revise.
