Map Animations for 'Aşşa' Documentary - GAIN

Produced by the streaming platform GAIN, the documentary 'Aşşa' captures the gripping 555-nautical-mile journey of Turkey's longest sailing race. Over the course of a grueling 84 hours, the Orange Sailing team battles the fierce elements of the sea and wind.
I created the map animations to visualize the route taken during this race. I helped elevate the storytelling by designing animations that showcased the entire route and distance, while seamlessly integrating close-up insert shots of their progress. Going beyond just tracing the route, I animated a 3D sailboat model moving along the path, capturing even the subtle side-to-side swaying of the boat.
