Travel Video Series – Editing & Motion Design Client: One Planet Destination Role: Video Editor

Overview One Planet Destination, a travel-focused social media page promoting luxury resorts around the world, brought me on board to edit a series of engaging videos for their online audience. The goal was to transform their high-quality footage into short-form content that captivates viewers and drives shares across Instagram and TikTok.

Creative Approach Using visually rich footage provided by the client, I crafted a series of fast-paced, trend-aware reels tailored to social media. I incorporated dynamic transitions, motion-tracked text, and rhythm-driven pacing to grab attention early and hold it—optimizing for viral engagement and visual storytelling.

The Challenge The biggest challenge was curating and structuring the footage to tell the most compelling story within a short format. With no original effects or overlays to work from, I engineered creative transitions and visual hooks directly from the raw material—maximizing impact through inventive editing.

The Outcome This project reignited what I love most about editing: pushing creative boundaries with the footage I’m given. Each reel became a scroll-stopping escape that aligned with the client’s upscale brand while showcasing my ability to craft stylish, high-impact edits for the fast-moving world of travel content.

The request: Create a fun, fast-paced reel capturing the feeling of discovering Key West for the first time—highlighting the charm and tropical vibes of Parrot Key Hotel.

The challenge: Showcasing the hotel’s unique character and location within a short, scroll-stopping format, while evoking the excitement of a first-time traveler’s experience through dynamic editing and engaging visuals.

The request: Create a visually stunning, emotionally resonant reel to celebrate visiting a 101st country—while highlighting the luxury, design, and nature-immersed experience at Art Villas Costa Rica.

The challenge: Balancing personal storytelling with brand promotion, and using immersive editing to showcase the villa’s architecture and jungle setting in a way that feels both cinematic and intimate.

The request: Create a cozy, adventure-filled reel promoting BigBearVacations as the ultimate mountain getaway—ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers looking for nature and relaxation.

The challenge: Showcasing the charm of the cabin experience and natural beauty of Big Bear within a short, engaging format—while capturing the warmth, serenity, and seasonal appeal of the destination.
